Edie has experience with teens, adults, and couples, specializing in anxiety, depression, grief, sexuality, crisis, life transitions, confidence building, spirituality, student-athlete balance, and relationship issues. Effective, client-centered, solution-focused, research-based, methods are used to help clients reduce stress and anxiety while increasing self-compassion, joy and well-being.
As an artist herself, Edie has a creative and holistic approach. This includes opportunities to incorporate and/or focus on healthy sleep, eating, exercise/yoga, artistic expression, music, and meditation as part of the healing process. Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness-based therapies are at the core of her work. Edie is trained and certified in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
Edie holds a Master’s in Counseling from New York University with a Limited Permit, under the direct supervision of Melissa Carman, Ph. D., to gain New York State licensure in Mental Health Counseling.
